The American Electrophoresis Society (AES) with additional support of GE Life Sciences (http://www1.gelifesciences.com/aptrix/upp01077.nsf/content/na_homepage ) and Bio-Rad (http://www.bio-rad.com/) is pleased to announce the availability of several travel expense awards to support young scientists for whom the associated travel and registration costs might otherwise be prohibitive. These expense stipends will be awarded in the amount of $500 for presenters at sessions in Topical 3 at the 2008 annual meeting of the American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in Philadelphia, PA.

AES Travel Awards Selection Committee will select recipients for these awards from among all the applications received. Preference will be given to undergraduate or graduate students, but postdoctoral researchers and young faculty are also encouraged to apply. Generally, no more than one award will be given to applicants from the same research group. Applicants must be members of AES (apply here) [replace with current application link] and have an accepted abstract for oral presentation in Topical 3 at the 2008 annual AIChE meeting.

Applications are due October 1st, 2008 and awards will be announced in early October, 2008.
