Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI)

Criteria for Membership

Any person, who is a student in good standing at Mississippi State University, is eligible to be a member of TAPPI. Cost of Membership is $5.00 to become a local chapter member of both TAPPI.

Activities planned 2003-2004 Academic Year

The chapter will participate in a national student Energy Challenge competition to construct and race an all paper snowboard. The race will be conducted at a Colorado ski resort in early April 2004. The competition is being sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Institute of Paper Science. See for information about past Energy Challenges.

Two paper mill tours are planned for interested students during the academic year.
